I thought it would be nice to post a blog entry after a long while. It's not that I haven't been blogging but that I had been backlogging so if you have been going into my archives from July, you would see that there are new blog entries occasionally.

It kind of works well for me that not many people read my blog anymore. It gives me a space to write my thoughts and post things that I want.

Lately, life has been a tinny bit crazy for me.

I wish I could put into words some things that I really really want to say but I don't know how to say it.
I wish I have the guts to take that leap of faith
I wish whatever I do, people will not point and judge me
I wish I know if I have chosen the right path.

I am afraid but the LORD is my fortress. I know that it is He who leadth me. I just have to BELIEVE.

Prolly the last before the full blown winter sets in. And the most epic one ever! Fishing in a storm sounds crazy but it is worth every single chattering of the teeth:)

I was trying to capture the super strong winds that threaten to push me into the sea and the high waves that came crashing.

After a year later, I am back here. Except I am not here on holiday but for work. Does feel different but did walk around for a bit during lunch and after work although there is nothing much to see. Nothing changed and when I look around, I miss those carefree days at uni. *wistful smile*

This was a busy week. Between my job, my other commitments and hanging out with Joel & Co, I think I am not getting any younger.

First night (Tuesday): GELARE waffles and ice cream! Super awesome:) GG to the organizer who got lost finding the Gelare shop when there is only one that we go to only.

Ok, I knew this is super long overdue but here are the pictures from my new home. We have changed looks 3 times since then.

Today, it's Jonny's first time fishing and I think he got hooked:) With his beginner's luck, he caught so many garfish!

As for me, my cursed jig refused to attract any fish! I suspect the hooks are too large and therefore no fish wants to come:( Next time, I will have another jig. Actually, I have 2 but Jonny lost one for me-__-"

Cleaning the fishies before the barbie!!! The parasites in the fish is DAMN disgusting and looks every bit like a mini alien. I bet Wilson and Jonny had good fun scaring me with it. And Diana is so brave! She helped cleaned the fish. I'm too scared so I just scaled the fish:)

I offered to give my herring to Mickey but Diana said no. So I ended up eating the herring. SO MANY BONES!!!!! I was so scared I get bones stuck in my throat again:/

Being thankful

I feel particularly thankful today even though I walked from one end of Adelaide Terrance to St Georges Terrance in search of Hilton Hotel. Perhaps because I didn't exactly do any brain draining activities. Work for me today was just sitting at a CA workshop adsorbing some information incidental to my work which I felt was extremely enlightening hence the thankfulness I suppose.

I had come to realize that not many people enjoy their job and I am one of the lucky ones who actually look forward to Mondays. Ok, maybe I am a freak but I really don't mind it. Some people says auditing is boring but I don't find it monotonous yet. And although I didn't get to work in a Big four which was my ambition when I was a second year university student, I suppose God has His beautiful arrangement in this. I get to do things that most graduates would have never done in their jobs, I get to take leave 5 months after I start work, I get awesome coffee whenever I am in the office, I get a car park at my work place blah blah blah.

Never mind that the pay is less than ideal, never mind that I still does not know what God really has planned for me but at the moment, at least I am happy right? I am super tired after my long day but I feel like if I don't share my joy, I will burst! Oh, by the way, Iron man 2 was good:) My 2 hours well spent. Wished I had continued to watch Ip man 2 with the boys but I don't think I can do it.

Anyway, when was the last time you counted your blessings:)

Rockingham for work

I suppose one of the perks of being an auditor is that you get to travel a little bit and that helps break the monotony of going to the office everyday.

And I am so glad I am back to work!!! Those 5 days being stuck at home because I looked like a big fat chipmunk was close to unbearable after the 2nd day of movie watching. Even movies get boring at some point of time!

On my first day back to work, I am going to Rockingham:)

On wisdom teeth

23 April 2010 is the day that my wisdom teeth will be dug out. Literally. I hope the pain will not be as bad as some ~~people~~ friends has described it to be. Truth to be said, I am freaking scared now. I even woke up this morning wondering why my mouth don't hurt when I am getting it out only in the afternoon. Tell me about being paranoid.

It seems that my friends are more excited about my teeth being ripped out than I do. Everyone has been giving me tips and warnings:/ Thank you guys, I love you all but don't you think you guys are scaring me too much?

Surely, the pain I am gonna expect won't be as bad as the ones the wisdoms are giving me right?! Oh, and not eating 6 hours and not drinking 3 hours before the surgery sucks. So in order to distract myself from the worry and hunger and the thirst, I went shopping:)

5pm at my dentist. Still smiley because I know that I won't feel the pain YET. Anesthetic is awesome because, I heard NOTHING AT ALL! But at some point I think I felt the pain? But someone said it's ok and I went back to oblivion again. It's scary how I can't recall anything but then again, I don't recall people walking into my room when I am sleeping anyway:P

Funny thing is, I think I forgot to let my parents know when I am getting my teeth out. When I called them on the 3rd day after the drama of my spewing my guts out, I was like 'oh by the way, your daughter got her wisdoms out.' And they were pretty cool about it until they asked how many I got out. I said 'four' and I can imagine my dad's eyes popping out. Chey, now they want to fly over but nah, it's not like I am dying in hospital. Or like totally helpless.

Hang on, isn't taking out 4 wisdom teeth normal? Everyone has been giving me the shocked look but if you think about it, take out 1 puffy face so why not just get all out at the same time? Oh, and if anyone is thinking about going on a diet, go get your wisdoms out. I think I lost weight going on this stupid liquid diet and I keep raging because I keep getting hungry. Bleh, not being able to eat sucks especially if you love your food like I do.

Still there are many things I am thankful for.

And because I am such an awesome friend and I know everyone is DYING to see my chipmunk face, here is it. Don't I look like the most adorable chipmunk you ever met? Ok, I woke up in the morning in shock because... It's just soooo... unthinkable. Maybe when I gain another 50 kg, this is how my face will look like.

So far, you might be wondering what I had been doing. Well, some times when I feel better, I clean a bit, tidy abit, look through my clothes and discovering "new" stuff I never remembered buying.

When I feel sick, I just watch movies and dramas! Honestly, they are such a waste of time and this ~~flower~~ flowers over boys show (wait, or is it boys over flowers?) took the bulk of it. I think I was like screaming at them to hurry up because most of the time, I can guess what happened. And the only guy's name I remembered was Ji hoo which I referred to as the blond guy for the last 20 episodes.

Well, the only good thing about this show is, I get to see nice clothes:):):) Probably the only reason why I keep watching. But seriously, some of the clothes that the guys wear are pretty questionable. Like printed hot pink floral shirt with white shorts or was it pink shorts? And whose idea was it to perm the main guy's hair?!

But I gotta say, the 2nd guy from the left is CUTE:):):) And I still don't know his name after 25 episodes. Fans must be infuriated but who cares. I do feel a little dumber after watching this drama though OR is it the effect of losing my wisdom teeth*gasp*

I still have a steady supply of movies I have yet to watch because usually I have no time to so it has been a movie marathon! Thanks to all who supplied me with the movies, gotta love you guys or I would have died of boredom.

Lastly, this stupid post took me 3 days to write because I feel sick at times and have to stop to lie down. Firstly, thank you Uncle Weng for driving me to the clinic and back home. Also, thanks all who are so sweet to come visit me and especially Mel and twins who came over to look after me when I was throwing up like crazy (read: dying). And many thanks to people who brought food over to me:) I feel loved! ♥

No thanks to Keoni! I lent him my pen in Sydney three months ago and forgot all about it and then one day, it came back to me via some kind soul who had to hand carry it back to me. That silly boy left it in the car and it melted! I'm not gonna chuck it. I think it's pretty cool because it still work!

I m not one who feel sorry for myself because i believe there are much more unfortunate souls out there. But once in a while, when I m at the trough of the graph, i allow myself some leeway.

Maybe, it s a combination of PMS and nasty things that make me feel really really really upset.

Let me make a list of things that happened to me today that made me so antsy.
1. My audit with client got cancelled hence i had to go office WHEN traffic s insanely bad
2. When i got to office, someone conveniently TOOK over my desk. Fine by me BUT guess what, being nice doesn t pay off. My boss got upset that i m not at my desk and told me off.
3. My stummy cramps were permanently there. I can t even sneeze or cough, it just hurt that bad:(
4. Someone passed a really mean remark.
5. Waited at Fuji for an hour before we could have dinner
6. Chicken Katsu don became pork Katsu don. They are just very different!
7. I m still waiting for my headache to go away. It s hurting so bad i just feel like throwing up which was pretty much what i had been feeling like the whole of today anyway.

I know my list don t look as bad as some other people but this has been continuing for some time already. It s really hard to count your blessings when your head is throbbing like mad and you just feel permanently nauseous. And no, i m definitely not pregnant. Honestly, i want to cry so bad but i m so tired.

All these shall come to pass but meanwhile, please be gentle with me.

Crazy storm!

Thank God I went home super early yesterday because my car needed to go for a checkup:) It feels awesome to leave work at 2pm although I bought work home.

The air was super still and suddenly it hailed (read: chucks of ice falling from the sky). Usually, I would not be too worried about it but today, it was like HUGE pieces of ice. Maybe half the size of my fist? I was so worried about my car because I parked it in the open. Shame I didn't take a photo of the hail:/ Should have... now I am regretting it:(

Tash and Kelsey went to rescue poor Peaches who was at the backyard.

The house got flooded! Uncle was so mad that it was pretty funny when you hear him rage. So much for Burswood buffet that night. NO ELECTRICITY!!! I ended up having korean noodles candlelight style.

Apparently the storm was so bad, 150,000 people were left electricity-less, some unfortunate people have their roofs fallen in and some have their car badly damaged. Auntie called from work to say that the roof in the operating theatre at the hospital has fallen in during a case. Oh dear, I hope the patient is ok.

Thank God, when i went home to my other house, WE HAVE ELECTRICITY!!! And the house is unharmed:):):)

The drive home was awfully scary though. I felt like I was driving through a war zone. Traffic lights not working, rain pelting on the car, branches on the ground and the darkness of the place.

You can't see this clearly but it's all tiny holes made by the hail. Saw this when I went for my Krav Maga at Subiaco. It's pretty amazing tho!

P.s: My parents thought i was joking when I smsed them about the storm! Dad called me 2 days later on my way to work in the morning and asked if I was ok. They thought i was trying to get away from talking to them on webcam. But they saw the news and decided that I wasn't joking at all. My parents*shake head*

Lately, if you have heard about the news about the Tiger Wood saga then the Jack Neo one, I am pretty sure you can draw a conclusion by now which is, not too hard to guess. It seems that you can't trust a guy anymore. Either they cheat on you or they get really petty or they just whinge a lot in general. Is there no patient and forbearing guys in this world anymore?

Why oh why are guys these days going all gay? Ok, maybe I am just angry with guys in general but I believe I have good reasons to do so. Hmm, do angry even justify what I am feeling now. I think the appropriate word is apoplectic.

GUYS HAD BEEN WHINGING WAAAAY TOO MUCH!! Moreover, the ratio of guys to girl whinging to me is like 3:1. Where are the chauvinistic boys of old? Like hello, ain't guys meant to toughen up and take it like a man? Before you go on accusing me of being heartless, have you ever thought that you could have DONE something to prevent it? It just pisses me off real bad when people whinging and whinging instead of shutting up and go solve the problem.

Case 1
Say if you got in a real accident, i.e: like someone crashing into your car and you are left carless for a week, it's ok for you to whinge because

It wasn't your fault
Even if it's your fault, it was a FREAKING accident that no one could have prevent
You are a girl

Shut up if you think this is a very sexist blog entry. I already told you I am angry with boys right now. Anyway, it's part of girl's nature to whinge sometimes. Although I find that my girlfriends don't do it as much as the guys these days.

Case 2
You keep complaining about your job ALL THE TIME and how you hate it. Life sucks, yes but you can do something about it.

How about losing that ego thingy and make some friends?
Find something interesting in your job
But if you honestly hate your job so much, why don't you just quit.

You made the choice to accept the job so you should also bear the consequences or just quit instead of contributing more carbon dioxide to the environment.

Case 3
Complaining that you are bloody tired on MSN. DUDE, if you are tired, freaking get off the internet and go to bed! Why whinging about it when it won't help.

You bought it upon yourself by not sleeping
When you are a guy, whinging is not cool especially when- see point one
Guys and whinging does not go, you just irritate the hell out of people

Just to make it clear, I think it is fair when people meet me after work and say they are tired because obviously after a full day of work, it's only right they will be tired but they are willing to spend time with their friends.

Therefore, just please stop complaining and do something about it! There is enough sad things in this world, can't you guys help make a difference by stop whinging? Thank you.

Has anyone ever paid for your petrol? Apparently, i got discounted petrol because:1. I can t remember how much i pumped into my car2. Someone has already intentionally or unintentionally paid for mine. I prefer to think the latter, makes me feel special.3. The computer system got screwed up. I think this option is the most likely one. A cool old man with earrings commented that maybe God is watching over me. Lol, I know God always watches over me:) He told the cashier he should just give me free petrol. In the end i paid $10? It s little things like this that makes me happy:)

I'm blogging on my phone right now:) having my lunch before i start raging!

For 2 days straight, i had been walking to work. My journey starts at Mclver to Perth station where i have to walk to the underground station and when i reach Stirling station, it's another 30minutes walk. Sometimes i wonder whether God thinks i'm getting too comfy and fat and confiscate my car.

I'm not complaining tho. Since yesterday, i had been thinking about uncle Arthur and his family. Are they coping alright because uncle Arthur met with a horrible accident and is in the hospital right now. I can't do much but prayers. I know we are not meant to compare but i feel thankful that i was safe even though my car was injured.

Auntie was telling me about how one of her colleague's brother got t-boned and never fully recovered. It kinda of make me realise that i shouldn't complain.

Anyway, it's just so different when you are praying for someone you know. I hope uncle Arthur will be alright.

For those people reading this, please say a prayer for uncle arthur and his family. People at Perth church are praying from 8.30 to 9pm every night for the next few days and it will be good if you can join us:) May God remember your love.

Didn't planned on writing so much but yeah, this had been on my mind lately and i got to let it out!

Chronicles of the car-less days

I suppose sometimes things has to be taken away from you to fully appreciate them better. Take my car for example. When some random dude decided to ram into my car, it was sent to the mechanic for one whole week. You don't understand how sad my life was. Remember, Perth isn't exactly the most transport friendly place AND because there ain't any bus near my work place, I have to WALK TWENTY MINUTES to work every morning. I suppose I thank God it wasn't raining or I will be one very very very sad person.

I think taking public transport is not really that bad. Minus the 20 minutes walk to work and the exorbitant ticket prices, I would rather take the bus or the train. It's like suddenly I have more time on my hands! The first time I took the train, I was like, hmm, I am bored. So I started checking people out:P but there wasn't very interesting people to watch so I ended up day dreaming...

And also admire the scenery that I never had time for when I was driving.

On second thought, I think the 20 minutes walk made me feel a bit more healthy:P But I will have my car anytime!

Work at Mandurah

I was so excited about going down to Mandurah to audit a client that I couldn’t sleep the night before. Ended up falling asleep in my senior’s car. I know it is only an hour drive away but the thought of Mandurah always reminds me of fish and chips and beach and crabbing! And I decided that my senior is pretty cool. Come on, you thought auditors are old boring people don’t you. Well, for one, my senior drives a sports car which to me does not spell boring plus he modified it so the sound system is AWESOME Ok, that’s not the main point. The main point is, he is super patient with me. I keep asking why why why but he answers really patient and sometimes joke with me. Thank God for that. I thought I might turn into a boring fat old lady.
And I don’t really think I am cut for work. I am getting sick Maybe too much events after work. Hmmm, maybe, 7am mornings ain’t just for me. Need to find a way to get rich and not work. Any tips?

My very first Chinese New Year without a single family member with me. Feels very weird but maybe being in Australia does help smooth away that feeling that I am missing out on something because it felt just like any other day. No fireworks, no dong dong chiang, no HONG BAOs, no mandarins. In fact, I am rocking up on my first day of work tomorrow.

Ok, the church aunties and uncles had been really nice and invited us over for CNY eve dinner and dinners over the weekend. Had been have awesome food and I am not complaining since I love food:)

Thank God I got a job:):):) well, actually I am kinda sad that my life is like O.V.E.R. Like come on, you work 8 hours a day and it’s 8-5 which means no more impromptu shopping sprees at 3pm where the shopping mall is the least crowded:) Gonna miss all the awesome sales. And this actually makes me very very sad. It’s like work rob me of playtime.
But being the optimistic me, on the bright side, this is a list of things I should be happy for.
1. I am getting PAID. I suppose I can accumulate power and then when I am on leave, I spend them all at once.
2. I am actually now a productive member of society. No more smelly tutorials to do on weekends well, until I do my CA that is.
3. I am learning things- FOR FREE

Ok, I can only think of 3. We will see how it goes:)
Anyways, I am going on a crazy shopping spree before work starts on next Monday:)
OH by the way, apparently auditors are super boring people. If I ever turn into one, please please please hit me!

I can't believe I forgot about posting this blog entry after saying that I would!

Back to my Melbourne trip. Speaking of which, I haven't done the Sydney theolo one either! I don't think I will ever do that entry tho. Some things should remain unsaid.

It was a last minute decision to go to Melbourne actually. On a whim:) Makes life a little exciting doesn't it? And I get to stay with LULULISA+ANGGEEE+DANIELLU:) Super excited yet a little scared that I would be hell bored. And so I happily(anyway) city hopped over to Melbourne.

DAY 1: 18.01.2010

Eeeew, dreary weather when I got there. And there was even hail before I arrived. Hello, it's summer. WHAT HAIL?! And it's cold... brrrrr... Thanks John for picking me up:)

We ended up hanging out at Mel's apartment since most shops are closing and we were waiting for the boys to meet us. It was hilarious when I met Lisa's new friends and they were like, you should go out clubbing with us and Lisa just said one sentence... 'erm, she is from my church.' Everyone went 'oooohhh' , like it explains everything:)

And because it's Bernice birthday dinner, I crashed the party:P Nam squashed at the back with us.

Evening came so quickly and it's one day in Melbourne!

Until now, I still can't believe that 4.5 weeks just flew by like that. Sydney theolo is over and my 1.5 week short holiday in Melbourne, I found myself in Perth. Super hectic because I have to pack. Thank God, XW and Mel come over to help me out. They are very very efficient I tell you. But I secretly think they came because of Krispy Kreme. See Stan, I told ya they are good weapons for bribing:D Even if they are retarded.

It's feels good to be back in Perth:)

Despite efforts of procrastinating, I got to look for a job. Prolonged fun time is over and according to most of my working friends, once you work, your life is O.V.E.R. Thanks for the heads up guys but I'm not gonna allow work to take over my life. Well, I hope it doesn't anyway.

When I looked back, I think I had learnt a lot over the 5 months I was away from Perth. The short work stint in Singapore taught me a lot about the work environment and cultural differences. Ok, I grew up in Singapore but I think somehow Australia has influenced me in some ways. Sydney theolo was good except for the fact that I regularly get busted for my clothes which I don't think is fair but I will just be more accommodating if it makes the world a better place. I feel really blessed that I am able to make it for theolo though:) Melbourne was overall awesome because I know people do try to make time to bring me out and I truly appreciate it.

There so many things to say in each major event and I want to do a separate blog entry for each one but somehow, my life is super hectic. Oh, and I finally got a new lappie which is super awesome because it's fast:) I know I am backlogging half a year stuff but I really want to get them done because I am damn forgetful. I will eventually. Now that I have a computer to myself, one day I will just sit in front of my lappie and churn out 10 blog entries. I promise they will come real soon!

I always thought that Sydney Theolo is something still far away in the future after making the huge decision in September.

Tonight I am going to leave on a ONE-WAY ticket and honestly, I don't feel ready even though I had been praying to God for strength to get through this theolo. I don't know. Perhaps, it is the fear of the unknown or maybe it's the things I had been hearing from others. Heck, I even had a nightmare last night again. Nevertheless, it is too late to back out anyway. I just gotta tough it out for 3 weeks whether I like it or not. I am an optimistic person and I know I will try to find some joy in being there even if I hate it. Afterall, I am there to prove everybody that it is not that bad:)

The short 3 months I spent in Singapore seems to be like another summer spent during a uni break but perhaps a little earlier than the usual one. I even got to work as a researcher! As you know the drama me, there are many things that happened to me that don't usually happen to people.

My laptop died and you get to see me more often lately because my dad finally decided to sponsor me.

I promise when I get back from Sydney theolo, I will update it in Perth. I know I am super drama but I am honestly on a one-way ticket and I am still not over the fact that Singapore might become just another destination I can choose on my work leave. Although I had yet to find a job, my body is screwing me over and the little bits of rough patch here and there, I am sure God has prepared something for me.

I had yet to pack my bags and my flight is 4 hours away. I should really get off my computer and get around my errands and pack my bags.

It annoys me to no end when people think that I am born with a silver spoon in my mouth. Yes, I do buy heaps of things. Yes, I always have time to go out.

I agree that my parents pays for some of my stuff but I do work and save. Oh wow, that's something new!

It's just the same with my achievements. Like most NORMAL people, I do work hard for it. Yes, I agree that God is on my side at times and help me suceed but if you have not realised, GOD WILL NOT HELP YOU IF YOU DO'N'T HELP YOURSELF.

So please, stop being so critical and accuse me of being a spoiled spendthrift. I work hard for my money and I have every right on how I spend it.

Earthquake tremors felt!

After 22 years on Earth, this is the first time I felt tremors. Always wanted to know how it felt like. Surprisingly, nothing shocking. Maybe because it wasn't extreme enough. I could see my full length mirror moving, my chandelier was shaking and when I sat down, I found myself swaying. And I thought it was because I took my medication for cough and the drowsiness was just kicking in. I know, super -___-".

Then my dad and brother started exclaiming earthquake tremors! I must be really numbed by the medication because I was like, Oh, so it wasn't my medicine that caused it and then continued looking through my clothes to find something to wear for service later (which I didn't go in the end anyway because there was earthquake tremors in my head.)

Nothing fantastic but worth a lifetime experience. Now, I want to feel an earthquake but not the after effects:)

And so, my little 弟弟 finally passed his driving test on his second try. The way he failed the first one was super retarded. So this time, my parents and I repeatedly reminded him to STOP FOR PEDESTRIANS at the Zebra crossing.

I made sure I prayed before sitting in the car. HE NEARLY KILLED US! Ok, I am being drama but seriously, driving schools should really stop using poles.

Whew! Thank God we all came back in one piece.

Back in Singapore

I haven't made a proper decision yet but I found myself on my way back in Singapore.

It was a rainy rainy day, the day I left.

The last few weeks had been spent on so many once in a life time experience. Like going North, South and East of Perth on road trips, my parents coming over to visit, my graduation and random events. Fabulous memories and long car rides. I have a backlog of over a thousand pictures and for that I apologise for not uploading. You see, my laptop seemed to choose the best time to die on me. Perhaps it couldn't take my abuse anymore.

I thought I have plenty of time to think about my future. Those road trips at high speeds are almost my way of relieving my stress and to let me calm down to think. Yet, things doesn't always go my way and I am always back to square one. Therefore, I am just gonna wait it out. God will provide afterall. I just hope those decisions I had made were of sound ones. I'm scared but I know I will pull through.

I finally signed up for Sydney theolo. After much hesitation, what really made my decision was that no one died attending theolo anyway and if everybody says it is good, I should try. They say curiosity killed the cat but I'm ain't no cat:)

Up to now, I have not decided to stay in Singapore for good or to go back to Perth. What irks me the most is people asking me whether I am working or not. Just STOP ASKING ME!!! I know it is out of concern to ask but I have no answers for you.

Right now, all I want to do is to have a proper holiday. That's right, you heard me. I want to just do absolutely NOTHING. Yes, not even shopping. Ok, maybe not. Just a tiny bit. The last few trips were kinda of stress because I had to drive (6 people's lives in my hand), find places I had never been before, plan the holiday. So, now that I am back home, I will lie by the poolside all the time catching up with books that I want to read. Probably get bored after awhile so there would be dinners with friends:) Of course, time would be spent with my dearest piano:) And there is my goal to lose 2 kg in a month. I am just wondering how I can do it with all the food I had been wanting to eat. I NEED A FREAKING DOG so I can walk it!!!

Anyway, isn't it strange that when you least want something, it happens to you. But the more you look for it, it wouldn't appear?

Well, for the moment, I will just want to chill.

You know you really really want a dog when you are thinking about them in your dreams. Last night, I dreamt that I have this cutest fluffiest black and brown Rottweiler. I'm pretty sure it was a Rottweiler. There isn't such thing as a black Golden retriever after all right? I even dreamt that I cuddled it and it was licking my face. Hang on, he has a name. No it's not Max but some cutesy name. Must be Peter or Cookie or something like that. Mmm.. I really want a dog you know! Even my sub conscience might won't let that idea go! When oh when can I have a dog?

P.s: Paul got hit really bad at Krav tonight! He is sporting a black eye at the end of the session:/ No, I didn't give it to him. Poor Roberto must be feeling so bad right now. Thank God he always go easy on me when he partners up with me!

A good dream

Had a good sleep and a pretty awesome dream just now:) Plus my foot is much better so overall my day is rated 8 out of 10:)

The weatherman lied though! It was meant to be raining but it was nice and sunny but since I told my friend that I wouldn't go freo anymore, I stayed at home. It's a nice feeling to stay at home once in a while and quieten myself after days and days of going out the whole day.

Since my foot still kinda of hurt, I decided to stay at home and write letters long overdue for a reply. I feel that writing a letter is waaaay more personal than writing an email as most of you would agree. Well, unless you are a guy but then I think that guys secretly enjoy receiving letters just that they think that it is too gay to admit so. But seriously! It feels nice, warm and fuzzy to get something from someone from the letter box right??? I wrote so many that I felt like I was writing an exam! But an enjoyable one that I know all the answers to:)

I know I have so many :) in this entry but I can't help it. Feeling happy at the moment. No nightmares:) Well, when was the last time you wrote a letter to your close friends? I think I am about to start a new trend! Go write a letter to a friend today... Unless you don't have friends:P Ok, kidding, you can still write to your parents. Pretty sure they will appreciate it.

Postage is gonna kill me though! But as long as people are happy:)

P/s: Basketball was awesome until the end of the game when I remembered that my foot hurts! Fun irregardless that I can't even shoot a hoop properly because I get to shove people:P

Trying to push away the truth to a corner

With the purpose of seeing the doctor this morning for my foot before going to work, I woke up at an insane time of 7.30am. For the record, I don't normally wake up at such an unearthly hour primarily for the very reason that I am never a morning person.

It was a surprise then to receive a call from overseas. I know it's overseas because my caller id shows 'Unknown' and I knew that it is either my parents or Ah Ling. The only people who will actually call my phone. Well, for the most of the time anyway. Nice to hear from Ah Ling but at such a early time and her tone, I knew something was wrong even though I don't really want to know. Some times I wish I hadn't woke up so early and then I wouldn't have answered that call. But then again, I suppose she will call till I pick up anyway.

At first, I thought it was boys problem until she asked whether my parents told me the news or not. I could roughly guess what she was going to tell me next although deep in my heart, I refused to believe until she tells me. Ok, she told me. What next? In my daze, I called my parents to see that they are alright. To me, it was too early, the news hasn't really sunk in yet. Besides, today is a freaking busy day for me. I guess in the way, it is good. I won't have time to stop and think. Not that I want to anyway. People called out of concern and I nonchalantly said I am fine which technically I was and I was saying it so that I can get off the phone and not think about it anyway.

The whole day passed by with my foot feeling sore, heaps of work done, meeting the weirdest people, got back my beloved violin, cooked a pretty awesome dinner( first try at making laksa), showered and about to get started on preparing for my bible study.

Finally, I had time to sit down or rather stand under the shower. I don't know. It was a sudden realization that she is gone. I will never see her ever again. This morning, it was merely like a piece of news that I set aside because I had too much things to do. Almost like it wasn't of importance to me. Perhaps shock does helps cushion the blow. Or maybe, it was so early in the morning, I thought I am still dreaming a bad dream.

Sure, I had mentally prepared myself that I probably will never see her again when I next go back. My mom told me she is deteriorating. But I guess I was not prepared enough. Today wasn't that hard to pretend everything was good with the worst thing happening to me at the moment was I had to limp around. Every time that thought comes to my mind, I just push it away. Tomorrow? I am not sure that I can hold my composure. But I believe I am strong. I can do it. After all life have to go on. In fact, I should be happy that she isn't suffering anymore. Life must suck lying in bed 24/7. She's gone to a place where she can walk and laugh and eat whatever she wants(I know in heaven we don't need to eat and sleep but I guess if she really wants to she can).

Just merely one and a half years ago, she was there smiling with me. And always asking about me. To her, I'm a granddaughter going overseas to study and occasionally calling back to say hi. Because we have a language barrier, her form of showing concern to me was giving me fruits and veggies I love and asking whether I had eaten.

I have no regrets not spending time with her because I did my best. I spent most of my summer with her anyway. Singing hymns and praying with her and talking to her and massaging her in hopes that she feels better.

I can't help but still cry. Yes, it's ok to cry I know. I'm gonna cry so hard that the tears will wash away the sadness and in some way find comfort that she is happy up there. So that tomorrow, I can wake up and go on with life. In my heart I want to remember grandma as a smiley happy person but knowing that grandma will never get well and laugh her hearty laugh and rescue me from those weird insects and will never come back makes me miss her already.

Fell down the stairs

I suppose one major injury that is going to leave me limping for days after 3 years of staying here is not that bad after all. I told you I'm an optimistic person:) BUT it's DAMN PAINFUL! The skin didn't get cut through even though the stairs are kind of sharp. And being not carpeted made it even worst.

It's so painful I keep waking up at night from the pain. I suppose it's a good thing that I'm the kind who can keep falling back to sleep anyway:)

I think I was in shock that I forgot to take photos!!! Shame because how often do you get your car window broken?

The funniest thing (well, not funny at that time) was that I went to work in the morning and kept cranking up the heater wondering why it was still so freaking cold. And I kept hearing the wind coming through the window but I thought it was because someone forgotten to close a window so I closed every window but strangely the whistling sound was still there.

Told you I was never a morning person. It took me some time to realize that the window at the back passenger seat was broken-_-" And of all things, they decided to steal my bible bag. *sighs* MY PINK BIBLE!!!! Plus irreplaceable bookmarks from brothers and sisters. Whoever stole my bible and hymnbook better REPENT!!! Why o why did you choose a rainy day to break my window???

Never had such a thing happened to me and thank God Tash decided to take leave from work so she could help me with researching. Guys, don't ever go to O'briens unless you are covered by insurance. They are super expensive and a rip off!

Thank God at the end of the day, everything is fixed and I get my car back on the same day! Can't imagine not living with my baby. I'm exhausted.

Finally, the anticipated trip is here:) After sieving through over thousands of photos, I bring you the best of the shots we took:) There are so many funny story but a blog entry can only cover that much. A total of 11 people (Arvin, Jim, Ken, Michael, Richard, Gia, Gloria, Ivy, Joyce, Vickey and me!!) set off for the trip. We are gonna rock the North!

Day 1
Some hiccups here and there but in the end, we really thank God that everything went smoothly.

We have more luggage than could fit in the car! Squeeeeze. And guess who's the driver of the 7 seater? Your truly has something to add to her resume:P We got high for a bit but after 2 hours, I'm getting bored because people at the back is SLEEPING! So I entertained myself with looking at scenery, singing along with the songs. Ok, I sounded damn sad. People, wake up!

Jumping makes us hungry. On our way out of the Pinnacle, we stopped over at Jurien Marine park to have lunch.

After driving for 6 hours, was feeling a little wee tired so Ken was the next driver.... Something interesting happened on the way to our apartment but thank God we all arrived safely to Intown apartment which is a very homely place. Loves it!

After cooking dinner, I'm close to KO-ed. But we all hanged out in the master bedroom or playing Taiwanese Mahjong which is waaay easier than the Chinese style.

After a quick lunch at Maccas because we spend wayyy to much time at each stop, we have to rush to the next town which is a couple of hours away.

But the road is just one long strip of road so I made everyone get off and take photos:) I'm such an awesome driver!

I think at this point of time, we kept teasing Jim to keep his eyes open for the photos. The girls even zoomed in the pictures to laugh at him. He is a funny guy. I hope he won't be psychologically affected by us:P Jim, you are really adorable so we kept teasing you. We shall keep 'cute' for some else ya:D

In the little town of Northampton, we visited the Our Lady in Ara Coeli Church before moving on...

At this point, it was persistently raining so we couldn't get off the van at Horrocks beach so we went on to Port Gregory!

Finally reached Kalberri beach resort.

Ok, I know I looked like a little school girl with my 2 pigtail and hat. Oh, who cares. Jim can join me as little school boy:)

I was so excited that my legs finally saw the sun:) Warm and nice. I can't wait for summer in Perth:) The clear waters is just pure bliss. God is awesome:) And Joyce's fantastic camera is waterproof. I want one too!

We had to leave the glorious sun and the pretty beach unfortunately because we still have to ruch up to Monkey Mia where there are dolphins!

Day 4

After dinner, a quickie at Hungry Jacks, we had to continue our journey. It's getting late... But we are still hours away from Perth but I know that God is watching over us. Doggie wants to go home too!

Thank God we hit no Kangeroos, Enchidna or any random stuff:) And we got through the whole trip safely although I had to drive in heavy rains some times. The trip is awesomely fun and I got to know people better especially on that few hours drive. This is one trip I will never forget. Even with my terrible memory!

It's the time of the year when I'm writing exams!! Last paper and I'm done (provided I pass all my papers)

Has anyone noticed how pretty Winthrop hall is? Ok, maybe because I get bored occasionally during my exams and I like to look around:) And the anxious examiners always wonder whether I'm trying to cheat or not:/

As exams draw near, my study room looks like someone broke into my room and looking through my stuff. But somehow, I can find my stuff easily. I call this tidiness in messiness if you get what I mean.

I can't believe it. I remember about 2 years ago, I was counting how many more finals I have left and from 16 finals t0 my last 4, I think my university life has been a journey. I cried less and trust in God more.

I'm growing up:)

Calming my soul

I personally thinking that the best way to calm myself is not to pray, although that is the model answer. Yes, yes but again, I'm not exactly the model student. Although people thinks that I am teacher's pet, a title that I don't exactly like. Ok, I digress.

I discovered that after a long drive + speed + loud insane music + no speed cameras around is the perfect combination for me. I know it is dangerous but going down on the freeway(where speed cameras are most unlikely) and a chance when a stupid car decides to race you( yes, I know I will lose but still fun especially when he got stuck behind a car and you zoom ahead:):):) ) is exhilarating.

Yes, I got ticked off by a grand total of 10 things today. I think I deserve a break and not take all this shit. Honestly guys, PLEASE use that brain of yours to think before you speak and BE FREAKING CONSIDERATE ABOUT PEOPLE'S FEELINGS. Yes, I can take jokes but not when you take it too far.

After the drive, felt much more happier and definitely more amiable. And it ended with 'big 2' where you want to lose because winner have to shuffle cards. I don't think I ever tried so hard to make myself lose before.

Then we discussed about the Up North road trip. I'm kinda excited about it because of my stupid ideas. Credits to Jonny for giving me the idea of a Bollywood movie at the pinnacles. We are gonna own Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai faces:) The thought is already making me crack up. I hope Diana goes so she can be the female lead and Jonny can be the male lead. Michael can be the cameraman. And guess who is gonna be the director? Me of course:) The rest of them can be back up dancers. I reckon pinnacles make a good substitute for coconut trees. What do you reckon?

Not really keen at first because i don't really know the people going that well. Technically, I didn't organise it, Ken did. I merely suggested the idea. Hopefully, I'm gonna know them better after the trip. Please let it be a repeat of July 2008:)

Pretty excited as I went to the airport to get Uncle Raymond, Auntie Christine, Nicole and Grandma because I haven't had the chance to see them for like 3 years? Grandma always goes to Singapore around May/June and that is the period of time when I going to have my exams. Besides she can only come to Asia when Rachel and Jeff are having their summer hols in US so our timing never work out.

Had dinner with them since I have to go church and I think they want to rest after that 4 hours flight.

Looking forward to seeing them tomorrow for dinner!

UWA new Business school

UWA business school is probably one of the latest addition to the university. It looks too modern to belong there. I still love the old architecture of the university though. The business school seems to cheapen the school but on second thought, it does look pretty at night. Oh! And the toilets are waaaay less dodgy i must admit.

One of the few nights that I stay back in UWA to get my damn assignments done. I feel much more safer here than at Curtin. It's not like it is much brightly lit than Curtin but maybe, the atmosphere of age old respect and serenity does make a difference:)

And why are there so many people still in uni at such an unearthly hour?!

It all started when Tash wanted to show me how to tease my hair... And then we had over 100 photos in the span of 1 hour. Pretty impressive:)

And no where in these pictures, you can see teased hair. We have very short attention spans:P

Somehow I like dried roses better. Although I can't say the same for the smell!

I KILLED A BLOODY HUGE COCKROACH!

I'm still shaking probably from an overdose of adrenaline. Honestly, I still don't understand why God created cockroaches. Like, hello, how are they useful in the food chain? Who wants to eat them anyway:/

Remember how last time I mentioned about killing a baby roach? This time, for certain it is HUGE because I was in the shower, not wearing my glasses obviously and I saw it. Anyone who knows me well knows that I'm very close to being blind without my glasses and if I can see it from a few metres away, it got to be huge right?

I didn't see it at first but while showering, I saw something very brown and looked very much like a roach moved. You don't know how much I wish for once that I'm half blind and I so did not see a cockroach just ran along the wall.

I think that was the longest shower I had taken since a long long time ago just because I don't want to kill that roach yet. But at least, I have time to mentally prepare myself not to cry and scream.

Do you know, I was stepping out of the shower still hoping what I saw was not a roach? Alas, I got my glasses and the truth was what I thought it was. I never felt so vulnerable before.

When was the last time I prayed so fervently before? I'm seriously scared that the roach will fly. The feelers was twitching already!!! And I only have the towel on me?

Perverted cockroach! You will die a horrible slow death! Thank God for insecticide:) I sprayed so much, I probably would kill myself at the same time. And the freaking roach RAN! Ok, as long as not towards me. Don't even suggest me hitting it. I'm not going anywhere near it.

I need instant death insecticide. This one took too long. Maybe, time just passes too slowly for once. But finally, it died. Any insect which decides to come to me dies a slow slow death because I don't even want to hit it. So they die covered in the insecticide foam probably because I sprayed so much on it that it turn white.

Ah, now for the corpse. I really don't want to touch it lor! My hand shook so much when I tried lifting it into a bag with a piece of paper. Finally, done and chuck in the bin outside:)

I think I'm ready to take on anything after this!
